News -  Fifteen (15) of your favorite Duffers travelled to Blue Rock Springs to compete against 7 other NCGA associate teams in a Ryder Cup worthy event over 36 holes.  Your Duffers finished 4th (and might have finished as high as 2nd if we’d had a full team) poor Gil O had to go it alone which disqualified him from the paired events (scramble, shamble and alternate shot).  A generally great time was had by all.

Next regular event - San Jose Muni on Thursday Jul 16th 

Weather - Started out (8am) a little cool,overcast and breezy but gradually warmed up to pleasant mid 70’s.


Sports - Smith & Burns snuffed out the most points (4.5) followed by Drennon & Gutierrez (4)

2025 Banquet - Handicap Chair and Awards report 

The  CBG ‘Cash Back Guy’ (prefers to be called Robin Hood) introduced the newest method the Duffers will raise extra cash for prizes (so we don’t have to increase dues or tournament fees).  Starting the next tournament we’ll begin having a 60/40 Donation/Drawing (raffle).  Strictly voluntary, tickets will be purchased in $5 increments (Robert Avery will sell), the drawing held post round and the lucky ticket holder will get 60% of the pot, the 40% the club takes will be used to increase prize money and fee discounts (100% going back to the members).

Team play - not a lot of excitement - but we’ll still likely have one later in the year.
