News -  There should always be a writers strike when you have to write about yourself winning, so let’s just say there is a writers strike.  Twenty four Duffers congregated at Las Positas under very warm conditions to watch airplanes take off, battle our golf demons, socialize with the club members, make and miss putts etc etc  but its always a really big embarrassment to be caught dubbing your first tee shot about 20 yards in front of the competition (but still winning) - oh yeah writers strike.  The Duffers who signed up got our shirts for the ‘Clash of Clubs’ which hopefully will be a blast in a couple of weeks.  Mr P Burns will soon be sending a message about paying for events by credit card through MemberPlanet, please respond to it if you have an opinion. 

Next regular event - San Jose Muni on Thursday Jul 16th - and our ‘Clash of the Clubs’ match play with 7 other clubs is Saturday June 27th at Blue Rock.

Weather -  A very warm near 95 deg with full on sun (which for some of us is perfect to get loose), the breeze was 10-15 mph but not a big impact.

Sports -  1st Flight (net 69), Low Gross (80) and Tournament winner (the writer FP), 2nd Flight winner was T Forney (70).   The drawing split went to Jim Erickson and Robert Avery (-$70) each.
